Values in action: January Shout Out to our colleagues
We understand that caring for others can sometimes be challenging, but we’re proud of our colleagues who show Compassion, Independence, and Standards every day. This month, we received some great nominations that really highlight what makes Wellgate special.
At Rose Cottage, Jessica Jenkins showed great initiative and commitment by finishing her NVQ Level 3 and helping Keith, one of our residents, with the monthly newsletter. At Millfield House, Amber Lait has grown into her new Team Leader role, and it’s been wonderful to see her confidence in handling complex hospital support. We also want to thank Cassie Donnelly from Tristford, who helped out during staff shortages at a sister service by making sure medications were ordered and everyone had a nice dinner.
Our teams at The Limes and The Grafton have also been doing incredible work. The team at The Limes (Lisa, Rachel, Kishore, Lippi, Sue, Ayo, Fillipa, and Miganda have worked so hard since opening to create a settled, happy home where residents are truly thriving. Likewise, at The Grafton, the team have been praised by external professionals for their amazing support with mental health and for helping tenants grow their independence, with a special thanks to Dennis Rebecca Priscilla and Bola, who've been with us since the very first day.
Our colleagues keep going above and beyond for health and community. Claire Vickers at Brickyard Court was very patient in helping a resident face their fears and attend an important GP appointment, which led to key referrals. And a big thank you to Ruth Rushton, our Team Leader and Club Rep at Wade Court, who has spent a lot of her own time organising events to raise money for Macmillan and Dougie Mac.
Thank you all for making us proud!
