Recognition Awards

On Wednesday 9 September, we brought colleagues together for our first Club Wellgate Recognition Awards ceremony. We received 130 nominations over the summer across thirteen categories, and our leadership team reviewed each one and rated them against a set of criteria, not just picking favourites from a list.

The day itself was brilliant. Everyone turned up looking glamorous, in their finest, and there were so many smiley, appreciative faces around the room. Then when the awards actually started, the room properly changed. There was applause, there were tears, and for a lot of people, this was the first time anyone had properly stopped and said thank you for the years they've put into looking after some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
